'It genuinely feels like your soul has finally been seen'
Every now and then I receive a message that reminds me why I do this work.
This one arrived a few days ago and I'd love to share it. I am deeply grateful for the trust people place in me when they allow me to touch them, I never take that trust for granted.
What moved me most was reading that my guest felt safe to simply be himself, that he felt seen, accepted and at ease. If the people who spend time with me leave feeling a little lighter and more connected to themselves than when they arrived, then I feel I have done something that matters.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write about his experience.
‘Just to tell you a little bit about me—I have ADHD, and I also think I have OCD. I’ve been through a lot over the past few years, and because of that I’ve become someone who really struggles with uncertainty.
It’s hard… because I know I have so much to give. I’m curious, affectionate, brave, and I so badly want to experience life to the fullest. But I also spend so much time talking myself out of anything unfamiliar. Even when I do something courageous, I rob myself of the experience by overthinking every detail before, during, and afterwards.
That’s until I met Rosie.
I’d known about Rosie for a few months. We’d exchanged a few messages, and she came across as incredibly warm and kind. Even so, I found every reason not to book. I’d recently lost my partner of six years, and I wasn’t ready to date, but I still had so much love, affection, and intimacy inside me with nowhere for it to go.
I almost turned around at Rosie’s front door.
Instead, I made myself walk in because I decided I didn’t want fear to dictate my life anymore.
It turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself in a very long time.
I’ve now seen Rosie twice, and somehow each visit has been even better than the last. She is one of the warmest, gentlest, and kindest people I’ve ever met. From the moment you arrive, she makes you feel completely welcome, completely accepted, and completely at ease.
For as long as I can remember, feeling genuinely safe has been something I’ve struggled with. Even around people I care about, it’s rare for my mind to truly slow down. Around women I didn’t know well, I don’t think I’d ever experienced that feeling at all.
Until Rosie.
For the first time, I felt completely present. My mind went quiet. I wasn’t analysing every moment or thinking ten steps ahead. I was just… there. I can’t really explain how much that meant to me.
It genuinely feels like your soul has finally been seen, and I think that’s something we all long for. Somehow, Rosie has an incredible gift for creating that feeling without judgement, pressure, or expectation. I don’t know how she does it, it feels effortless somehow, but it’s the most beautiful and profound feeling someone could give you.
I’m so grateful that I found the courage to step outside my comfort zone and meet her. I’ll always be thankful for the kindness she’s shown me and for helping me discover what feeling safe, present, and accepted can actually feel like.
She has been a genuine blessing during one of the hardest periods of my life, and I wish her nothing but happiness. She deserves every bit of the warmth and kindness that she gives to me and, I’m sure, to so many others.
Some people leave an impression on you, and some people leave you changed. Rosie has done the latter. I can honestly say she has the most beautiful soul of anyone I’ve ever met. Her kindness doesn’t just make you feel better for a few hours—it has stayed with me ever since we met’
Love,
Rosie x
