Books I enjoyed lately
I often find that the right book has a way of landing in my life at just the right time—whispering wisdom, offering comfort, or lighting a new fire within. Today, I’d love to share three books that have recently touched me in different ways. They each speak to reclaiming your power, your truth, and your sensuality—which are all central themes in the world of tantra and embodied living.
1. Let Them by Mel Robbins
This book reminded me of the simple yet powerful truth: we can’t control everything, and we’re not meant to. Mel introduces the concept of saying “let them” as a kind of emotional shortcut in those moments when we find ourselves tangled up in other people’s choices, judgments, or actions.
Someone doesn’t like what you’re doing? Let them.
Someone pulls away, acts out, misunderstands you? Let them.
The idea is not to disconnect, but to free yourself from the constant pressure to manage what’s beyond your control. Alongside that is the phrase “let me”—a gentle redirection back to your own actions, your own centre. What can I do? What’s my next best step?
It made me reflect on how much time and energy I sometimes spend revisiting things I can’t change… and how peaceful it feels to return to what I can shift: myself, my breath, my body, my response.
2. Untamed by Glennon Doyle
Raw, real, and very funny—this book is a powerful call to stop abandoning ourselves in the name of being good, liked, or acceptable. Glennon shares her story of stepping into truth, even when it disrupted her life, her image, and her relationships.
I loved her honesty. Her willingness to break free from the boxes she once fit into. She writes about listening to that wild voice inside—the one that says this isn’t it or there’s more than this. That voice is our truth. And I think many of us—especially women—need permission to hear it, to trust it, and to follow it.
It’s a reminder I carry into my own work and my own heart: that living untamed doesn’t mean reckless—it means true.
3. Beqoming by Azrya & Benjamin Bequer
This one was a deep dive. Part relationship memoir, part spiritual journey, part erotic awakening. The authors share their transformation through plant medicine, conscious relating, and s*exual exploration—and they don’t shy away from the vulnerable or the intimate.
What I appreciated most were the erotic passages because they were written with depth, sensitivity, and vulnerability. They were about presence, surrender, and the beauty of being met completely. It inspired me to write my own stories and have the courage to share them.
All three of these books, in their own way, explore what it means to return to yourself and to reclaim your power. To speak your truth, to soften and to live more freely, more fully, more alive.
Whether you’re on a path of self-discovery, exploring tantra, or simply wanting to feel more connected to who you truly are—I think these stories might meet you too.
Love,
