Dear Rosie

Dear Me in 2015,

I’m writing to you from the future, ten years ahead, in 2025.

Buckle off, life is about to change in ways you never expected but always dreamed of, even when you didn’t fully know what shape those dreams would take.

I want to start by thanking you. Thank you for your courage, for taking that leap of faith into the unknown, even when it felt scary. It hasn’t been easy, and there was no clear roadmap, but you have built your own path, step by step. Along the way, you’ve uncovered some of the greatest treasures of your life. And the best part? There’s still so much more to come.

Let me tell you about some of the things that are going to happen...

You will find your passion and purpose. Remember how much you loved the power of touch and the joy of creating meaningful moments for others? That deep desire to bring comfort, connection, and warmth to people?

Well, you will get to do exactly that—and so much more.

You will:

  • Create deep, meaningful connections through touch.

  • Witness the inner beauty in people in moments that feel almost otherworldly.

  • Create a sanctuary for others to reconnect with themselves, their bodies, and their emotions.

And it won’t just be about others—you will also find what makes you come alive. You will lose yourself in music, let your body move freely, and allow dance to guide you back to yourself. You will find peace, support, and energy in nature, the trees, the warmth of the sun, the sound of the rain. These things will ground you, bring you home to yourself, and remind you of who you are.

Life will also send you storms you in ways you cannot yet foresee. Moments will come that will take you by surprise, shake your foundation, and leave you questioning and doubting.

But in those moments, you will find a strength that has always been inside you. You will respond with resilience, even when you feel fragile. You will learn about acceptance — deep acceptance — of what you cannot change or undo. This will be a lifelong practice, but you are already doing so well.

And with this trust in yourself, life will reward you.

You will:

  • Feel fulfilled by the work you do, knowing it makes a difference.

  • Meet extraordinary people who will expand your mind and heart.

  • Create moments of deep intimacy, pleasure, and surrender—not just for others, but for yourself.

  • Explore your body and your sensuality with reverence and curiosity, feeling bliss and expansion you never thought was possible.

  • Laugh, cry, and allow yourself to truly feel — not just the highs, but the whole spectrum of what it means to be alive.

  • Travel the world, exploring places you once only dreamed of.

  • Develop a connection with something greater than yourself, starting to find your place in the universe.

It will all be worth it. You will show up for what you believe in—the power of touch, connection, and love.  You will embrace your unconventional path fully, with all the love in your heart. And in return, you will receive gratitude, kind words of appreciation, and yes— chocolate and flowers!

Through all of this, you will start learning to hold yourself. You will start becoming your own safe place, your own source of strength. You will develop precious connections with people, but the most important relationship you will develop is with yourself. You will finally meet the person you’ve always longed for—the one who listens, who understands, who is always there. That person is you, and she will become your best friend.

You will redefine your understanding of trust by taking your time to get to know people. You will watch what they do, how they show up for themselves and for other people, not just listen to what they say. You will bring discernment into your relationships, balancing your open heart with wisdom. And you will begin to prioritise the people who show up for you, just as you show up for them.

And through it all, you will learn to appreciate life even more. You will begin to make each day meaningful — not because everything is perfect, but because you will know that in the end, all we truly have is now.

If I were to give you a few words to be your anchor, to carry with you into the next ten years, they would be:

Love, inner wisdom, pleasure, creativity, authenticity, purpose, connection, and trust.

You have done so well.

And I am so proud of you.

With all my love,

Your best friend,

Rosie xxx
